Gilda’s Club South Florida is a free cancer support community for women, men, children, and teens with all types of cancer and their families and friends. Our support groups, educational lectures, healthy lifestyle workshops, specialized children’s and teen programs, and social events are offered in a nonresidential, non-medical, home-like setting. The clubhouse is located in a historic home in downtown Fort Lauderdale on the Tarpon River. Awarded 2013 Small Business Of the Year - Nonprofit Organization by Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce for "outstanding business practices and success." Awarded 2013 Historic Preservation Board Commendation Awards for Sustainable/"Green" Rehabilitation of Gilda's Garden and Adaptive Use/Reuse for "successful rehabilitation of a historic structure for a new use while maximizing and retaining the structure's distinctive architectural integrity." |
